  • Step 4: Register for Classes

    Preparing to Register for Courses

Review the program information and requirements and plan of study for both nursing courses and non-nursing courses found in your program handbook.

You should also review our helpful guide to choosing courses.

    Registration

You can manage your own registration online by signing into the myPNW portal. You can also email your registration coordinator to request course enrollment. General registration instructions can be found in the RN-to-BSN Student Handbook. Specific instructions for web registration are also available on the Office of the Registrar website.

    Deadline to Register for Classes

Students must register on or prior to the Monday before classes begin by 4:00 p.m. CST. There are no exceptions made to this deadline date. This deadline applies to both new and returning students (who have already successfully completed a course within the program).

  • Step 5: Pay for Classes

Be aware that registering for classes incurs a financial obligation. Tuition payments for all online classes are due on or before the Friday before the start of class by 3:00 p.m. CST. Missed payment deadlines will result in being dropped from the class. Payments may be made online, by mail or in person at the Bursar's Office.

You may review and manage your Student Account at any time by logging into myPNW.

More information on billing and payments can be found in your Online RN-to-BSN Student Handbook.

Resources for Current Nursing Students

Textbooks

RN-to-BSN students are strongly encouraged to review the current book list prior to purchasing or renting textbooks, as textbook editions will change from time to time. Students should make every effort to purchase books and have them delivered prior to the first day of class. This is especially important in a 5-week course.

Textbooks may be purchased directly from the publisher's website or from third-party vendors such as efollett.comAmazon.com or Barnes & Noble. The efollett.com site also offers textbook rentals at a significant savings.

When purchasing or renting textbooks, students are encouraged to search for textbooks using the ISBN number and not the author name, textbook title or textbook edition.
