Full Disclosure Policy
The full disclosure policy at Purdue University Northwest - College of Nursing requires that upon admission to the university, students must submit all official transcripts from all previous schools attended. For students enrolled in the RN to BSN program, these transcripts are factored into a cumulative GPA, which must be a 2.50 or higher in order to gain admission to the program.

Transcripts that were not presented at the time of admission to the online RN to BSN program will not be accepted by the College of Nursing and will not be applied toward transfer credit. In addition, students enrolled in the online RN to BSN program prior to the 2013-14 academic year who have withheld transcripts will not be permitted to apply them as transfer credit towards graduation.

Please note: Electronic transcripts are deemed acceptable by the Undergraduate Admissions Department at Purdue University Northwest and must be sent directly by your respective college and/or university to Bsn_adms@pnw.edu.

Transferring Credit from Another RN to BSN Program

The residency rule at Purdue Northwest requires that at least 32 credit hours at the 300 level or higher must be completed at our institution in order to receive a Purdue Degree. The 34 credit hours in the nursing core courses for this RN to BSN program are used to fulfill that requirement. Applicants wishing to transfer nursing coursework in at the 300 level may not (in most cases) be able to do so because of the residency rule. Requests for evaluation of nursing transfer credit at the upper division will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
